Your banana bread recipe is sooo awesome!! My husband just LOVES it!! I put some in my boys lunches and when I picked them up today from school Hayden says "Mommy, I like that banana bread so much." Thanks! -Rachel

Hey Erica!! Great piece (ahem). You've got a great writing style -- funny, engaging, witty, and all your own. It was a pleasure to have you over for the interview. Rad photos, too! We'll see you at the show!

Pete

Hi Erica,
Thank you so much for taking the time to interview me the other day. I am very happy with the post:) I enjoyed cooking for you and sharing the Muchecinnahon sandwich recipe. I forgot just how delicious those sandwiches were. By the way, the picture you took of the Muchecinnahon sandwich makes it look as divine as it tastes! Keep doing what you do- you do it so well ;)
-Matt

Erica,
Thanks so much for the "pub"! Enjoyed our time together -- though I must admit, reading the post made my Midwestern, self-deprecating sensibilities shake like a leaf on a tree. Yikes! All the best.
Cheers,
--grant

LOVE the post, Erica! (And the cocktail recipe). I'm glad to see Pack Of Lies got you in touch with your wild side!!! ;-) ~Vanessa Vaughn

I really enjoyed the post. You're a great writer and I love your sense of humor. ~Casey Call

Thanks for the write-up! It looks great. See you on the 13th!

I think of you as the Black Widow who will kill her mate after the act. I think of you as the Indy car that has no seatbelts or airbags. I think of you as the sexual Medusa whose very gaze turns men's cocks to stone. -d

I’ve been reading your entertaining blog for some time now. I find your writing style refreshing and at times even elegant. Your subject mater of food and sex (not always necessarily in that order) keeps me checking back nearly daily for your updates…I for one never read advice columns nor am I a personal believer into much self introspection but I do have to say I think you are dealing out some pretty good advice here. Maybe there is room for a Man Eater Wagon in the Twin cities and I could stop in for a “Something's Fishy Tacos” and some of your solid dating advice. If you put as much passion into your bake goods as your writing I’m sure your treats would make great panty remover. -J.M.

You are a blazingly talented writer...What you have can't be taught. –Colin Covert, film critic for the Star Tribune Newspaper

Okay, Erica, I'm officially hooked. I have yet to try a recipe, but your steamy stories are satisfying my sweet tooth... for now. Can't wait to play your book release show!! love, Courtney McClean

I love reading your blog, Erica. ~author Cheryl Strayed

brilliantly written blog. I am so into your perspective... =) RW

Keep making trouble and baked goods. -JM

i gotta tell ya, i think yer pretty hot. JD

I'd drive past a dozen Starbucks to get me some Maneater coffeecake. :-)
-L.F.

...you and your sweet delights. You make a man's mouth water for more than the obvious reasons.
JF

1/2 hot and 1/2 Doris Day.....That throws off a nice vibe. Who knows? You may be a new millennium Hitchcock woman.
-DK

This is one of the best blogs I have ever read... honestly. I'd mention one of the entries but I'm keeping it clean.
--EC

You are freaking physically sensual, sexy and attractive.
~C.S.

The only difference between food and sex is that you can only go for a week or so without food. I'm looking forward to more of your adventures!

food porn is hot

I just discovered your blog. It's super swell! Ten times better than just swell. I wish I knew who Fire Writer was; I'd bonk him on the noggin and say "Wake up!"
--N.K.

I just took a tour of your blog and I do see that you have a definite fascination with Canucks. I can't wait to sample your Canadian Pound (Me) Cake...before and after!!!lol
--D.S.

I just stumbled across Man Eater and found myself soaking up post after post. You're very good, and it's a clever conceit. Love how you synthesize and merge your experiences with post-experience deconstruction.
--M.P.

i can see that you are, IMHO, smart, pretty, brave, insightful, strong. in short, you seem to be a woman of sexy substance, that's hot..
--S.P.

Your writing finds the perfect center of my favorite passions, food, lust, and lust for food. The dating stories are also educational (and somewhat terrifying) for this newly divorced/newly single person. Thank you for elevating my facebook experience beyond farmville...
--ASW

You are a neat girl and I admire you. I appreciate your sexy suzy home maker qualities.
--A.L.R.

think i'm developing a bit of a crush....
rw

I'll have to check out your book. The blog is excellent, I've already forwarded the link to about a dozen people.

I'm amused, honored AND aroused. Keep it, ahem, coming.
--jdf

I just read your " The whole Puck-ing story" and I have to say, I enjoyed it, to the fullest...I like the way you put down the details and how...you hide the hummm "R" rated parts of the story.

It was like having a hot "enchilada" and in desperate need of water or something sweet to make my lips less hot.
--C.A.S.

Love it!
Erica, thanks for making life taste better and be more filling.

I had no idea you were dancing on the edge of what's culturally acceptable... I'll be looking for the book.
--P.F.

Love your links and the way you thinks. -D.H.

Loving your blog at first blush. Quite delicious. totally feeds into my secretive nature and pervosity. ~S.A.

Hi- I have been going through your blog for a couple weeks- and today ran across something that looked like heaven- but had no title. It is on food porn- it is the 2nd and 3rd picture down- wondering if you blogged about it.

Hello "Hi" person. I add new photos regularly and post most with captions. Can you look again and let me know which one you had your eye on? I'd be happy to email you the recipe or share via Facebook. You can access the Man Eater FB page at here.
~ Man Eater

It is "Hi" person again- I was loving the look of the peanut butter cup topped cup cake looking treat. Looks like something to make when you want a guy to do things for you! I love food bribery! Thanks- The Tipsy Gourmet

Hello again, Tipsy Gourmet: The PB Cream Cheese Cupcakes are made from the same recipe as my Goodbye Pie with the following changes:

* Instead of a graham cracker crust, coat 12 muffin liners with melted dark chocolate. Let chill in fridge until firm.

* Fill chocolate shells with the peanut butter pie mixture.

* Instead of drizzling with chocolate, top mini pies with whipped cream and mini Reese's peanut butter cups.

Voila! Enjoy!

~Man Eater

The new website looks great...Strange how the windows in my office were fogging up as I was reading it.
--K.S.M.

Yikes! Hope my wife doesn't see this.
--M.A.F.

I LOVE MAN EATER!!!!!!!!!! (In fact, I think it's a brilliant idea and that women everywhere are going to devour it)!

--C.K.

Your food pictures...look great...your site made me think of this resemblance...LOL...my Lutheran church basement apron.
--W.J.

Congratulations on all that you have done. The web site is terrific. Hope sales of the your book go well. I will be back with Natalie this month and hope to have my book out (self published, memoir Mayan cookbook) by Nov.

Love is a verb...so push my button, baby!

ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS

To the real-life Puck:

You were the inspiration and continue to be my motivation for this project. No one has surpassed your deliciousness, in bed or at the table. You will always be my One That Got Away—and I hope to someday strip you of that title.

--Speedy

My Heart Belongs To Puck

To the rest of my men:

I consider each relationship a gift. You, my former flames, made love to me with food (some better than others) and now I return the favor through my writing. No matter how our relationship transpired, I cherish the good times, chuckle at the bad, and carry the memories of the meals we shared in my heart...and my stomach...and in other areas of the body...In other words: thank you.
